Laridae’s Learning Advisory Committee

Laridae has been fortunate to retain the assistance of the following graduates of our nonprofit Management Training and Leadership Development programs in the capacity of a Learning Content Advisory Committee. We thank them for their ongoing support and participation as we work toward developing the best possible experience for our learning community.

Kathy Warner

Program Manager, Peterborough Child and Family Centres

Making a difference in the life of a child has been a passion of mine for as long as I can remember. A career in the field of early learning and family support began almost 40 years ago in the same organization that I am still proud to call my workplace today.  I have held various positions at the Peterborough Child and Family Centres throughout those years including eighteen working directly with children and their parents and the last twenty years in a senior management position as a Program Manager.

I have also completed a number of short contract positions with Fleming College as both a Field Placement Evaluator and Teaching Faculty in the Early Childhood Education Program.Throughout the years I have held numerous volunteer positions with various local and provincial organizations. I have been active member of Compass Early Learning and Care for the past seven years with the past 3 years as Board President.

I firmly believe skill development and learning  is a lifelong process and important to embrace any opportunities that can facilitate this process. Laridae Communications has definitely augmented this process in the recent years as I successfully completed the Management Training Foundations as well as the Leadership Development Program for Non-Profits and now The Pier provides me a unique platform for ongoing learning and sharing with other non-profit leaders and peers.
