Key takeaways

Some key takeaways will include:

  • how to approach working with a board
  • how to scale your career levels and compensation as you grow
  • and even considerations to help you apply for your next grant!

About the session leaders

Clea Arrieta

Clea (she/her) is a first-generation Canadian, big sister, and queer woman of color with expertise in tech, non-profit, and civic organizing. As a strategic and collaborative people operations professional, she specializes in developing organizational policies, processes, rewards, and systems to support teams. When she isn’t working at Bright + Early, you can find her working as a Board Member at QueerTech which has the goal of diversifying the tech industry to represent more 2SLGBTQIA+ folks or with Mabuhay House Society which has the mandate of building out the Provincial Filipino Cultural Centre in BC. Clea leads with empathy, embedding DEI values into all projects she works with to cultivate meaningful employee experiences and support teams in reaching their full potential at work.

Trisha Neogi

Taking the approach of modern HR, Trisha leverages her passion for human relations and her data-driven mindset to understand how people work, collaborate and find validation in their role. As B+E’s resident compensation lead, Trisha has developed our proprietary methodology of approaching pay. In addition to her consulting work, Trisha trains the B+E team on all things pay, and is a frequent speaker on equitable compensation.
