AdvantAge Ontario partners with Laridae to offer Management Training to its members

By Valentina Kibedi

We are excited to announce that Laridae has partnered with AdvantAge Ontario to launch a Long-Term Care Management Training Program to new and experienced managers in the long-term care and seniors’ housing sector.

Developed exclusively for AdvantAge Ontario, this version of our Management Training Program is uniquely designed for the sector. It includes case studies that are highly relevant to participants’ day-to-day experience, and facilitators that have not-for-profit and/or long-term care experience.

The four-month course introduces core management skills such as leadership, communication, motivation, delegation and more. Program participants also benefit from one-on-one coaching with Laridae’s experienced consultants and trainers, and peer collaboration via our facilitated virtual “coffeehouse” events.

“We are very excited to partner with Laridae on this unique, new program designed to build individual and organizational long-term care management capacity,” said Lisa Levin, CEO, AdvantAge Ontario. “Together, our two organizations bring tremendous experience and expertise in training and coaching not-for-profit professionals to maximize their leadership potential.”

“We are pleased to help strengthen the long-term care and seniors’ housing sector in this way,” added Danielle Rocheleau, CEO, Laridae. “Management training is an investment in the individual, but also in the entire organization – and in this case, the entire non-profit LTC sector.”

The first cohort runs September through December 2022. This initiative will help to strengthen the capacity of the entire LTC sector.

Training Partnership Opportunities

Laridae has developed various types of training partnerships with lead agencies and associations over the years, including with United Ways across various communities, Kinark Child & Family Services, and Champlain Community Support Network.

We are proud to have supported more than 325 non-profit managers, managers-to-be, and leaders through our programs. No matter where learners are in their professional journey, the experience builds confidence and capacity, leaving participants better equipped to make decisions and manage teams.
