This year we were fortunate to receive Canada Summer Jobs Grant funding to support three summer internship positions. We were also fortunate to be able to recruit three stellar youths with remarkable skills, experience and enthusiasm.
Maria, Madison and Siddhartha are going to be helping us with everything from governance, to curriculum development, to communications and client engagement.
Maria Ahmed – Corporate Communications Intern

Maria brings excellent problem solving, critical thinking and research skills to her work as a Corporate Communications Intern at Laridae.
Professional Bio
Maria completed her undergrad in Health Sciences from York University and is working towards the completion of a research certification from McMaster University. She was recently awarded with the student spotlight certificate for creating a positive and outstanding contribution in her previous work term at CIBC. Maria’s strengths include bringing her critical thinking skills to everything she does. As part of Laridae’s collaborative team focused on strategic and internal communications, she strives to apply her knowledge learned on a continuous basis.
Passionate about social principles, Maria spends her spare time volunteering with multiple organizations including Sunnybrook Hospital in Toronto.
Siddhartha Datta – Digital Communications Intern

Siddhartha is going to be helping us reach out to new audiences as well as develop stronger relationships with our clients.

Fueled by creativity and out-of-the-box thinking Siddhartha utilizes his skillset to inflict meaningful change in any scenario. Siddhartha’s time spent at the University of Waterloo allowed his passion for the sustainability of both the environment as well as businesses to grow.
Previous marketing internships and a role at a non-profit has drawn his interest to Laridae as he feels can make an impact at Laridae right away.
Madison Sweet – Content Development Intern

Professional Bio
Driven by her passion for social justice, Madison earned a Bachelor of Management and Organizational Studies with an honours specialization in Nonprofit Management from Western University. During her studies, Madison accumulated over three years of non-profit work experience with a concentration on research, communications, and project management.
Her work has been diverse in both sector and geography, having worked in the areas of healthcare, education, gender equity, and capacity-building across London, Ontario and the Greater Toronto Area.
