News: Laridae is now an ICF-certified coach training provider!

We’re proud to share that Laridae is now a certified coach training provider with the International Coaching Federation (ICF).

This is a meaningful milestone for our team, and for the leaders and organizations we partner with.

Why this matters

As more organizations recognize the value of coaching in leadership, there are growing options for how and where to build these skills. ICF certification helps bring clarity.

The International Coaching Federation is the leading global body for coaching. Their standards define what effective, ethical, high-quality coaching looks like in practice. When a program is ICF-certified, it means it has been reviewed against those standards and meets a globally recognized benchmark.

For participants, this matters in a few key ways:

  • Quality you can trust: The curriculum is aligned with internationally recognized coaching competencies

  • A clear pathway forward: Graduates are on a structured path toward ICF credentials like the Associate Certified Coach (ACC)

  • Skills that transfer: The approaches you learn reflect global best practices and can be applied across roles, organizations, and contexts

It brings confidence that the time you invest in your development will translate into meaningful, lasting impact.

The rigour behind the certification

Becoming an ICF-certified training provider requires depth, intention, and accountability.

Programs must demonstrate alignment with the ICF Core Competencies, show how learning is assessed, and prove that participants are not just gaining knowledge but actually developing coaching capability.

That includes:

  • A structured curriculum tied to specific coaching competencies
  • Real-time coaching practice with observation and feedback
  • Assessment of coaching skills, not just participation
  • Qualified, credentialed instructors and mentor coaches
  • A clear pathway that supports participants toward accreditation

At Laridae, this reflects how we already approach leadership development.

Our Coach Training Program is experiential by design. Participants practice coaching in real time, reflect on their approach, receive feedback, and apply what they are learning directly to the complexity of their work.

We focus on both skillset and mindset, supporting leaders to show up with greater presence, curiosity, and care in their conversations.

This certification affirms that this work meets a global standard of excellence.

What makes this different

This program is not about turning managers into professional coaches.

It is about helping leaders lead in ways that strengthen people, relationships, and culture.

When leaders develop coaching capability, something shifts:

  • Conversations become more thoughtful and expansive
  • People take greater ownership and confidence in their work
  • Teams navigate tension with more curiosity and less avoidance
  • Leaders create space for others to think, contribute, and grow

This is how cultures change. Not through more frameworks, but through how people show up with one another every day.

A milestone, and a continuation

This certification is an important step. It is also a continuation of the work we have been doing for years.

We have supported hundreds of leaders to grow their confidence, shift their leadership approach, and create workplaces where people feel more grounded, supported, and able to do their best work.

Now, we are able to offer that work within a globally recognized framework that opens new possibilities for the leaders we support.

If you have been thinking about developing your coaching skills, or building coaching capacity within your organization, we would love to connect.
